Poultry Talks

An introduction to poultry health and wellbeing! Sometimes keeping poultry can be a challenge, especially in the first few years of keeping chickens. Information that is available can sometimes be: unhelpful, confusing, misleading, or even wrong. Westpoint Veterinary Group has developed the Happy Hens, Healthy Hens course to guide potential, new and established poultry keepers in how to get the best out of their birds. Topics covered will include, amongst others, the basics of poultry husbandry, poultry disease and its prevention and practical handling of birds.

This course has been designed to be an all round introduction to poultry health and wellbeing. The sessions will be interactive with a practical element too. All attendees will get an information pack and a certificate of attendance. Practical Poultry magazine's "Ask the Vet" Martin Smith MRCVS and renowned poultry specialist and agricultural consultant Andy Marshall FBIAC will deliver the workshop and encourage attendees to become confident and proficient poultry keepers.

Places are £60 per attendee, including lunch and refreshments for the day's course, and are going fast! Courses are based at:-
